Getting Started

FX Replay is a backtesting platform that lets you practice trading on real historical data, place trades, and analyze performance.

Log in and go to the Dashboard, where you can create your first session and start backtesting immediately.

A session defines your backtesting time range and stores all trades, stats, and activity for that period.

Click New Session in the top right of the Dashboard and select your symbol and date range.

Time Invested tracks how much active time you spend interacting with FX Replay.

Use your mouse wheel to zoom, click and drag to move the chart, and use the playback bar to move through time.

Open the Journal popout on the chart to write notes and attach screenshots for each trade.

Your Dashboard fills once you place trades in a session and begin generating activity.

Historical Time Replayed measures how much market time you have moved through during backtesting.

Click Place Order on the chart page to open the order dialog and choose market, limit, or stop orders.

Choose a symbol, a date range, and your session name to begin backtesting.

Click Save Layout on the chart page to store your indicators, drawings, and chart style for reuse.

Click the filter icon next to the Recent Sessions dropdown to filter by asset or strategy.

Click the Help button on the Dashboard to open the resource center for guides, support, and webinars.

Go to the top right of the Dashboard and select your preferred language from the dropdown menu.

Use the dropdown in Recent Sessions to sort by newest, oldest, last backtested, or most profit.

Use the main navigation on the left side of the Dashboard to access Sessions, Chart, Battles, Analytics, and Settings.

Go to Settings, open Deleted Sessions, and click Restore next to the session you want to recover.

Right‑click on the chart and choose Replay to This Date to rewind your session to any point in time.

FX Replay supports futures, stocks, indices, crypto, and forex pairs listed in the Symbols section.

Each page shows a header describing the section you're in, such as Dashboard, Sessions, Chart, or Analytics.

Use the playback bar to step through time manually or play the market at adjustable speeds.

Use the Position Drawer at the bottom of the chart to close or partially close open positions.

Click Continue on any recent session to resume testing instantly from where you left off.

Click the News icon in the floating toolbar to show economic events on the chart.

Account Management

Go to Account Settings → Account tab and edit your profile information.

Yes. Go to Account Settings → Deleted Sessions and select Delete Forever on the session.

Yes. Open Account Settings → Subscription and choose Monthly or Yearly.

Language settings are in the top-right of the dashboard, not in Account Settings.

Go to Account Settings → Spreads & Commissions tab.

Go to Account Settings, open the Account tab, and update your display name under Your Profile.

Open Account Settings → Backtesting tab to adjust chart behavior settings.

Go to Account Settings → Subscription, choose a lower-tier plan, and confirm the downgrade.

Open Account Settings and select the Backtesting tab.

It allows you to configure how your journal interacts with backtesting sessions.

You lose access to features outside your new plan, such as extra charts, indicators, or data retention.

Go to Account Settings, open the Account tab, scroll to Password & Security, and update your password from there.

There is no full reset option. You can delete sessions manually under Deleted Sessions.

In Account Settings → Account tab, choose your preferred timezone from the dropdown and save changes.

Your historical trades remain, but features tied to higher plans (like data retention) will adjust to your new plan limits.

Yes, but the insights are limited without strategies.

Yes. Trades without a strategy will appear if no strategy filter is selected.

Sessions represent blocks of time. Strategies represent trading methods within those sessions.

Yes. Use the Session filter to select and compare multiple sessions.

Yes, you can name your exported CSV files anything you want.

Open Account Settings → Account tab and update your username.

Yes. Use filters and performance charts to find your best trading hours.

Share generates a read‑only link to your analytics view.

Yes. Use the Day filter to compare weekday performance.

Yes. CSV exports can be opened in Excel, Numbers, or any spreadsheet tool.

Because the filters selected may never overlap—for example, a strategy not used in a selected session.

Go to Account Settings → Account tab and click the blue upload icon on your avatar.

Trades only appear if they match your filters. Missing tags or mismatched dates can hide them.

Yes. Whatever filters are active will be reflected in the exported CSV.

Billing and Payments

Go to Manage Plan → Billing & Shipping Addresses.

Yes. Select Choose a different payment method on the Add Payment Method screen.

No. The email is shown but cannot be changed from the subscription popup.

Scroll down in the Subscription page to view the plan comparison tables.

Your current plan is highlighted in blue with a 'Current Plan' label.

Click Upgrade on the plan you want or open Manage Plan and select the new plan.

The feature comparison table shows limits for sessions, charts, indicators, data retention, seconds data, and futures data.

Invoice number, plan type, amount billed, date, and whether an invoice is paid or voided.

First and Last Name, Card Number, Expiry, CVV, Country, and State. City and ZIP are optional.

It appears near your plan card labeled as the number of days remaining.

Your renewal date appears at the top of the Subscription tab under your plan card.

No. Free plans are billed $0 and require no payment information.

FX Replay automatically prorates remaining time and applies it to the new plan.

Some plans generate $0 invoices as part of Stripe’s subscription system.

Open Billing & Shipping Addresses, select the existing address, and update it.

Go to Manage Plan → Payment Methods → Add, then enter your card details.

Click Manage Plan, then select Account Information inside the subscription popup.

Go to Manage Plan → Billing History to view all invoices.

Yes. Click Download next to any invoice.

Filters or date ranges may hide trades. Reset filters or adjust your session date range.

The session must contain valid replay data for that date/time.

Charts may fail to load due to slow internet, unsupported extensions, or cached data. Refresh the page, disable blockers, or switch to Chrome.

Layouts reset when switching symbols. Reapply indicators manually.

You may have reached your indicator limit based on your subscription plan.

Automatic logout occurs after inactivity for security.

Enable hardware acceleration in your browser settings.

They may be in Deleted Sessions under Account Settings.

Your current plan may not include that feature. Check Account Settings → Subscription.

Ensure Battles are supported in your plan and refresh the page.

You must start or resume a session to enable trading.

Check that playback is running and the session is within market hours.

Pop‑up blockers may block downloads. Allow pop‑ups in your browser.

Update your payment method inside Subscription → Manage Plan.

Reset browser zoom to 100% via Ctrl/Cmd + 0.

Go to Account Settings → Account → Timezone and save changes.

Your connection may have dropped. Refresh the platform and continue.

Too many tabs or indicators can overload the browser. Close extra tabs or restart your browser.

Analytics require recorded trades. Also reset filters if needed.

It can’t be restored if permanently deleted using Delete Forever.

Verify card details and billing address under Payment Methods.

Playback may freeze from connection drops or full browser memory. Refresh and reduce playback speed.

Use a PNG or JPG under 2MB and try again.

It only displays paid invoices once you have a subscription.

The battle invites panel shows all incoming and outgoing match requests so you can review, accept, or decline challenges from other traders.

Open the Requests or battle invites panel and click Accept or Decline next to the invite you want to respond to.

Open the Help button or resource center and choose Request a Feature to submit your idea directly to the FX Replay team.

Yes, when a new battle invite arrives, a notification icon appears on your profile so you know to open the Requests tab and respond.

On the Battles home screen, look at the right-side panel to see your friends list, including their username, avatar, and ELO rating.

Yes, you can ask the AI Mentor what ELO means, how the leaderboard works, and how to improve your battle performance, and it will explain in plain language.

Use the Help button and select Feedback inside the Help Center or resource center to share comments, suggestions, or issues.

The Help Center is where you can report bugs, request new features, and send feedback about FX Replay so the team can improve the platform.

The leaderboard updates automatically after all trades in a battle are finalized, reflecting your new ELO and rank shortly after each result.

Use the filters at the top of the leaderboard to switch from Global to Friends so you only see rankings for people you have added.

You can ask the AI Mentor questions like what a feature means, how to join battles, why your rank changed, or where to find settings, and it will guide you step by step.

Open your friends list on the right-side panel, click the three-dot menu next to their name, and select Remove to delete them from your friends.

Click the Help button on the Dashboard or relevant page, select Report a bug, and follow the prompts to describe what went wrong.

Open the resource center from the Help button on the Dashboard to find links to FX Replay’s YouTube, Instagram, and X channels.

Open the add friends window from your home profile, use the search bar to look up traders by their username or ELO, then click Send invite to connect.

Open an active battle card and click Invite friend, then choose a user from your friends list to send them a battle invite.
