Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the new Journal?
The new FX Replay Journal is the smartest way to track your trading. Seamlessly sync with MetaTrader, cTrader, and TradeLocker, or import CSVs from platforms like Tradovate and NinjaTrader. Visualize performance, uncover patterns, and sharpen your edge, no spreadsheets required.
Will you support more trading platforms in the future?
Yes. More integrations are planned. Examples we are exploring include NinjaTrader, Tradovate and Interactive Broker. Check Trading Accounts for the current list and updates.
Will the Backtesting Journal stay?
Yes. It remains available alongside the new Journal. In the future, features from the new Journal will be combined into Backtesting.
Do tags work the same across both journals?
Tag names can match, but each journal has its own separate list of tags, insights, and counts.
What trading platforms does the Live Journal support?
Currently MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), cTrader, and TradeLocker via direct sync. You can also import trades manually via CSV from platforms like Tradovate and NinjaTrader. More integrations are on the roadmap.
How do I get started with the Live Journal?
Go to the Live section, connect your trading account under Trading Accounts, and your trades will begin syncing automatically. See the article "Connecting & Managing Trading Accounts (Live Journal)" for step-by-step instructions.
Is the Live Journal included in my plan?
The Live Journal is available on paid plans. If you can't see the Live section in your account, connect with our support team to check your plan access.
What’s the difference between the Live Journal and the Backtesting Journal?
The Backtesting Journal records trades from your FX Replay practice sessions. The Live Journal syncs real trades from your live brokerage accounts. They run side by side and each has its own analytics — data does not combine across the two.
