Go To Date Feature for viewing data on a specific day
The Go To Date feature is only meant to view data on a specific day; it does not act as the start date of your trading session.
Go To Date
Why doesn't the Go To Date feature allow me to start trading from a specific day, and why does it always stay on the current day?
NOTE: Ensure that the Go To Date feature is Activated: Account Settings > Backtesting > Enable Go To Feature
The Go To Date feature is only meant to view data on a specific day; it does not act as the start date of your trading session.
If you want your session to begin on a specific day (for example, January 10), that date needs to be selected when creating the session. Once the session is created from that start date, you can then play forward one candle at a time from that day.
Here's a summary:
- Go To Date: Used to view a specific day.
- Session Start Date: Determines where trading playback begins.
- Candle-by-candle replay: Only works from the session start date. The Go To Date feature cannot reset the session or move the starting candle.
