Which chart type should I use for backtesting?

Most traders use standard Candles or Heikin Ashi for replay sessions. Candles show exact OHLC data, while Heikin Ashi averages price to make trends easier to read. Renko, Kagi, Line Break, and Point & Figure filter out time and show only price movement, which some traders prefer for specific strategies.

How do I switch chart types?

Use the chart type selector in the session toolbar. You can switch at any time during a session.

Does changing the chart type affect my trade results or PnL?

No. Chart type is a visual display setting only. All trade entries, exits, and PnL calculations are based on the raw underlying price data regardless of which chart type you are using.
