Trading on Seconds Timeframes in Forex and Futures Markets

Seconds-based timeframes allow traders to analyze price action with greater precision, making them especially useful for scalping, execution refinement, and detailed replay analysis.

Availability

Seconds timeframes are only available on the Pro plan.

If you're currently on the Intermediate plan or a lower plan, you won’t be able to access seconds charts. To use this feature, you’ll need to upgrade to the Pro plan.

Supported Assets and Minimum Timeframes

Seconds timeframes vary depending on the asset type:

Futures Markets

  • Supports timeframes as low as 1 second
  • Examples: 1s, 5s, 10s, and higher

This allows for more detailed analysis and is especially useful for traders who want to review fast market movements with maximum precision.

Forex (CFD Pairs)

  • Supports timeframes as low as 5 seconds
  • Examples: 5s, 10s, 15s, and higher
  • 1-second timeframes are not available for CFD pairs

In other words, if you're trading futures assets, you can use the 1-second chart. If you're trading CFD pairs, the lowest available seconds timeframe is 5 seconds.

How to Use Seconds Timeframes

  1. Open a chart in FX Replay
  2. Click the timeframe selector
  3. Select a seconds-based timeframe such as 5s or 10s
  4. Start your replay or analysis session

Note: If you don’t see seconds timeframes, make sure you are on the Pro plan and that your selected asset supports the timeframe you want to use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Seconds charts are available only on the Pro plan. If you're on the Intermediate plan or lower, this feature will not appear in your chart options.
